R-855S emergency radio beacon

The device is installed on aircraft to enable search and rescue of crewmembers in case of emergency, information exchange with search and rescue services through a spoofing resistant communi¬cation channel.

MODES OF OPERATION:
•Transmitting distress signals at the 121.5 MHz and 406.040 MHz frequencies utilizing the COSPAS-SARSAT international satellite based search and rescue system while simultaneously enabling tow-way communication between the crew members of the aircraft in distress and rescue services;
•The system complies with class 1 requirements of COSPAS-SARSAT Committee C/ST.001 specification;
•The system enables determination and display of coordinates by using GPS/GLONASS satellite navigation systems.
