R-855A1M emergency radio beacon station

The device determines the location of crewmembers of aircraft and helicopters in distress and help organize search and res¬cue operations. The R-855A1M emergency radio beacon uses the COSPAS-SARSAT international satellite aided search and rescue system.

MODES OF OPERATION:
• The satellite distress signal transmitter operates at a
frequency of 406.037 MHz.
• The short-range homing beacon transmitter operates at a
frequency of 121.5 MHz transmits a tonal signal for search and
rescue services;
• The transceiver enables communication between the crew in
distress and the rescuers, operates at a frequency of 121.5 MHz.
